All guys know that having a wingman is extremely important in all sorts of situations, and tailgating is not alone in it's need for one. Although the Gator My Wingman can't help you hit on the coeds, it can do a couple other things you've needed at your tailgate - like holding your beverage of choice, your plate of food, and showing some more of that true orange and blue spirit. The My Wingman is…

Whether it was Murphy zipping through Florida's special teams, or running for his team's lone TD from scrimmage, or the Gators turning the ball over six times, it was all Mizzou Saturday night at The Swamp, as the Tigers dismantled the Gators 42-13 in a Homecoming game that marked one of the most…

  • Saban: Focus is on playing “our game”

    22 Oct 2014 | 5:03 pm
By Hunter Ford Nick Saban, at his Wednesday morning SEC teleconference, said his Alabama Crimson Tide will focus on playing “our game” despite a potentially distracting crowd at Neyland Stadium. Alabama plays Tennessee Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. CT, in Knoxville. Monday morning, Saban was asked about Lane Kiffin’s return to Tennessee. Kiffin, now Alabama’s offensive coordinator, was the Volunteers head coach for one year, 2009, before leaving Tennessee for a stint as head coach at USC, and then landing in Tuscaloosa this season. “The game is not about that,” Saban said. “The…

When the Tennessee Volunteers try for the eighth year in a row to best Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide this Saturday night, a laundry list of challenges will meet the Vols at the entrance to Neyland Stadium. But you might start at quarterback. Or specifically, the orange and white paper mache wall around theirs. The Vols haven’t had much to boast about in the lifetimes of every 2nd grader alive, and if all goes as it should this Saturday (the Tide is currently a 17-point favorite), the Vols’ 8th loss in a row to Bama will assure the 7th year in a row that Tennessee will…

By Hunter Ford It’s time for Alabama “to turn the page” on its rout of Texas A&M and focus on the battle with Tennessee, set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday. That was Nick Saban’s message in a brief Monday press conference. Saban said he was proud of his team for playing with “intensity” and “emotion” while maintaining discipline and executing well. He said he didn’t see anything “different” while reviewing game films of the 59-0 win over the Aggies. “But when you look at things closely, you know, you always find things you can improve on, and areas we can execute…

By Hunter Ford The focus for Alabama this week has been improving on execution and fundamentals, head coach Nick Saban said during his Wednesday afternoon press conference. Alabama plays at home Saturday against SEC West foe Texas A&M, 4-2, 2-2, which has lost its last two games after starting 4-0. “We’re trying to focus on our players…playing hard, competing well, and having fun playing football,” Saban said. On Monday, Saban expressed frustration with what he deemed a negative reaction by fans and the media to a 14-13 win on the road at Arkansas. Saban said Jay Seawell, the…

Saban began his meeting with the media saying he was proud of the way the Crimson Tide competed in a tough road game. “I still think it was a great win for our team…a one-point victory with a ‘will not be denied’ attitude,” he said. Saban said he expected a hard fought game with the Razorbacks…
